In 1989, the acquisition of Simonin in Vincey allowed us to extend our client service and deliver all over Europe with 40-tons semi-trucks.
At European crossroads, Lorraine region operated an early development of transport-complementary activities, such as storage and logistics. With the creation of Stocklor, located in Charmes and Thaon les Vosges in 1993, our client service approach was strengthened and we took the step of developing European logistics. These two logistic platforms were completed with a third one situated in Corbas (Rhône county) in 2000.
Then, in 2003, our delivery service was reinforced with the Thaon les Vosges platform and several additional platforms in Reims, Dijon, Brives, Tours and Lyon, in a partnership with the Etoile Group.
At the demand and support of local communities, we have created two transit stations for recoverable waist in Igney and Remomeix (Vosges), and have managed them since 2002.
Custom packaging has become a flourishing activity, and logisticians have now identified it as part of their service.
Presently, Simonin SAS extends its services with the creation of a custom work dedicated platform in Sainte Marguerite (Vosges). On this site we are integrating packaging, order picking and quality control techniques, as well as other services, allowing conquering new markets and winning the loyalty of our clients. This will create at least 25 jobs within 3 years, in a partnership with the local and regional public authorities.
Today, SIMONIN/STOCKLOR represents 180 staff, 7 sites, 35000 m² of warehouses and more than 100 heavy trucks.
